Course summary

The course aims to enable the participants create resource packs to be used in training educational facilitators with a particular emphasis on school-community partnerships in rural areas. It consists in 4 modules focused on the theory of the facilitation process and the role of the educational facilitator, evaluation of educational projects for funding under the local grant scheme with a focus on school development planning as a joint work between local community stakeholdrs.
THE COURSE INCLUDES 4 WORKSHOPS, THEY ARE PRECEEDED AND FOLLOWED BY INDEPENDENT INTERNET INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION AS WELL AS E-MAIL MENTORING BY THE TRAINING PROVIDER , GOOD PRACTICE EXAMPLES AND EVALUATION EXERCISES AND VISITS TO PLACES WHERE SCHOOL-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS IN RURAL AREAS ARE OPERATIONAL, TO ENABLE OBSERVATION AND COMMENTS BY THE PARTICIAPANTS.
THE TRAINING PROVIDER WILL MAKE AVAILABLE 2 GUIDES : THE FACILITATOR’S GUIDE , THE GRANT EVALUATOR’S GUIDE, AND A SET OF EVALUATION EXERCISES CARRIED AUT DURING THE COURSE.
THE COURSE WILL CONSIST OF 30 HOURS TRAINING.

Traget groups : primary , secondary , disabled education teachers, headteachers, memebers of school councils, trainers of trainers, local authority members, adult education trainers and managers

Trainers :

ANCA TIRCA – 22 years of professional experience in education as a teacher, headteacher, teacher trainer and education expert; 8 years of national and international experience in coordinating and implementing educational programs; currently working as trainer and consultant/expert for different organizations; relevant experience: trainer and monitor (curriculum, evaluation, active and cooperative learning, school and community, change in education, education for democratic citizenship, school improvement with center education 2000+ (2000-2003); trainer and consultant with the project “Together for a better community” promoted by Center Education 2000+ (2000-2004); member of the technical assistance team for the Rural Education Project (co-financed by the Romanian Government and World Bank) on sub-cmponents “School and Community” and “School-based Professional Development of Teachers” (2004 – to date ); author of training materials and books on education and training.

ELEONORA RADULESCU- PhD in educational sciences ; 26 years of professional experience in education as expert, consultant and trainer ; 14 years of professional experience in human resources training and development; senior researcher in the Institute for Educational Sciences (1990-to date);
currently member of the technical assistance team for the Rural Education Project (co-financed by the Romanian Government and World Bank) on sub-cmponents “School and Community” and “School-based Professional Development of Teachers” (2004 – present); involved in training courses, counseling activities and research studies in the field of education; author of training materials and books on education and training.
